Permanent exhibition

The permanent exhibition illustrates and comments on the exciting history of the clock industry in our region.
The focus is on vividly conveying the production of an alarm clock in the historic machine room of the Württemberg Clock Factory Bürk (Württembergische Uhrenfabrik Bürk). Here, almost all production steps and workplaces in a clock factory around 1930 are documented and supplemented with social history topics such as women's work, strikes or company identity.

Also on display is the great variety of products made in the clock industry, from wristwatches and cuckoo clocks to night watchman's control clocks and taximeters. A complete metalworking workshop that was once located in a farmhouse can be seen true to the original and demonstrated. It vividly documents the important area of the subcontracting industry.
